Ashley Staton, B.Sc. – Implementation Specialist

Ashley made a bold decision and attended university in French, her second language. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and recognized that scientific research was not the career path that she wanted to pursue. While her classmates competed for internships in their professors’ laboratories, Ashley took the initiative of finding herself an internship with Emerald Associates as an Implementation Assistant.

Though Internships only allowed Ashley to work for a few months at a time, she still managed to play an important role in rolling out Primavera’s Contract Management on Nexen’s Long Lake project and Devon Canada’s Jackfish 2 project.  Recently she has worked with Direct Energy Business Services to implement a project management system for their team across the country.

Ashley’s experience in the semiconductor industry, manufacturing, customer service and quality control complement her software knowledge.  Ashley is hardworking and focused; and she executes the project effectively and efficiently. Ashley works well in a fast-paced environment and uses her analytical thought process to creatively solve problems. Her background, software knowledge and methodical approach add value to the projects and allow her to help her clients to achieve project success.

Ashley loves to travel, and has an active interest in science; and along her travels she has had the chance to visit two particle accelerators. On a trip to California she toured the SLAC at Stanford University outside of San Francisco, and she had the privilege of going on two private, guided tours of CERN (home of the LHC, Large Hadron Collider) while studying abroad in Geneva, Switzerland.
