Oracle Primavera Cloud v25.7 - Have You Used These Features?

Let’s have a quick look at a couple of functionality pieces now available in Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) that you may not have used yet. They were added in OPC v25.7.

When using task cards, you can now display the crew size on the task cards. When the task card is displayed, the icon with the crew size number can be included with the display.

To enable the display, go to Manage Views/Task Cards and enter the details for the customizable display of task information.

With the crew size now displayed on the task cards, users have that information readily available to enhance decision making.

You now have access to create not just configured fields with data type list, but with relationships between those configured fields. Currently, this is only available in the project configured fields which are list data type. It allows you to streamline the population of these fields as once one field is populated, the choices for the second configured field are set by the assignment in the first field.

Set these configured fields up by accessing the Workspace, Summary & Settings, Defaults & Options, and then click Project. Set up the configured fields (data type list).

Once the configured fields with the data type list are set up, go to the Field Relationship tab. Enter the field relationships applicable. Now you can use the new codes.

As you can see in the example below, because of the selection assigned in Config. #1 the choice for assignment for Config. #2 is dictated. Keep in mind there can be multiple choices in the configured field lists.

It is always handy to be familiar with new functionality as it is added to the software. This makes it easy to take advantage of available functionality as new requirements present themselves.
