Primavera Contract Management:
The Submittals Module

Any document that needs to be submitted for review and approval can be tracked in the Submittals module.

Contract Management tracks Submittals, Submittal review and approval and Submittal Packages. This can be achieved through two modules in Contract Management. Submittals and approvals are recorded in the Submittals module. Each Submittal can be included in a Submittal Package.

The General Tab provides a place to record basic information about the Submittal Package, such as the Title and the Contract it is associated with.
The Status Tab is where responsibility and priority are assigned. The Submittal Package Status can be set and information about included Submittals is shown.
A Workflow Template can be set up for Submittal transfers and revisions. This Template will be copied into the Submittals created for this Submittal Package.
Submittal Packages can be linked in to Issues.


The Submittal log screen shows information about each Submittal and its Status. The log screen can be customized to display various information about each Submittal.
The General Tab provides a place to record basic information about the Submittal, such as the Package it's included in, the Number and Title and the Category and Type of Submittal.
The Status Tab is where responsibility and priority are assigned.
The Workflow for Submittal transfers and revisions can be copied from the Template or modified to reflect the needs of each Submittal. Contract Management allows for tracking approval from multiple reviewers.
Multiple Review cycles can be recorded in Contract Management for each Submittal. Information and transfer dates are recorded for each revision, along with the Status.
During each Review Cycle, multiple Reviewers can be tracked in Contract Management along with the Status they assign to the Submittal. Attachments can be added to each Submittal or to each Review Cycle.

The Schedule section, which allows for a link to the Primavera Schedule to retrieve dates, makes it possible to calculate the dates when each step of the Submittal Process must start and finish in order to have the Submittal Approved on time.
