Getting Effective Scheduling and Reporting

1 Day Course

Target Audience

A project manager who has not had hands-on experience planning and creating schedules and reports has difficulty in analysing and evaluating the credibility of the schedules that are presented for approval. Knowing the coding structures that will allow meaningful reports to be developed is a challenge. Monitoring progress and performance with automated dashboards and portlets needs to be understood by the project manager to ensure the team is providing the best outputs.

The Program

After clarifying the objectives, buzzwords and jargon are explained, the life cycle and scope of the schedule is discussed. The structure of the schedule is examined with a quick review of scheduling basics. Common and not so common issues that arise with planning and scheduling are explored, with a view to identifying meaningful reports and reporting methods. The course then looks at necessary coding and structure together with portlets and dashboards to achieve this. The course does NOT teach in depth, hands-on use of the tools.
